About Apple Mountain

Apple Mountain, LLC, a family-owned company based in Utah, was founded in 2005 by Tom Long and Josh Harrison as Blue Mountain Restaurant Services. The company acquired five distressed Burger King restaurants in locations ranging from Provo to Farmington, Utah. After a swift turnaround, two additional locations were established.

In 2013, Apple Mountain, LLC acquired the exclusive franchise and development rights for Corner Bakery Cafe in the Phoenix, Arizona Metro area. The company was subsequently reorganized as Blue Mountain Cafes. James Long joined the organization as CEO, while David Long assumed the role of Vice President of Marketing and Information Technology.

The team successfully built and opened three new Corner Bakery Cafe locations within a 12-month period. Despite the challenges of establishing a new brand in the market, the business achieved a $1.5 million AUV by the end of the second year.

In 2014, Apple Mountain, LLC partnered with Dine Brands Global to become the exclusive franchisee and development partner for Applebee’s in Utah. The company acquired all ten existing Applebee’s locations in the state.

The company name was changed to Apple Mountain, LLC, and within eight months, it emerged as the leading Applebee’s franchise in the nation, surpassing its competitors in both same-store sales and customer traffic growth.

Apple Mountain, LLC’s strategic approach has consistently focused on establishing a strong foundation of high-quality food and service, followed by aggressive market expansion.
